Does the church sometimes seem shallow, mindless and judgmental? What would a church look like that was real, thoughtful and caring?
Think the church is often superficial, manipulative and hypocritical?
Unfortunately we know the church is often more characterized by these than caring for others as modeled by Jesus or thoughtful engagement with the complex questions of life.
We know because we've experienced it. We know because sometimes we've even been the culprits.
Our vision for Grace North Atlanta is radical - because we know the heart of the Pharisee is deep within all of us. We know God has to deal with us first before we ever have anything of value to offer to others.
We are trusting God to build a community that continually rejects the kind of simplistic judgmentalism that often passes for Christianity. Instead we want to be a thoughtful, genuine, caring community that views people as intrinsically valuable in-and-of-themselves, not simply as a means to some other end. In other words, we're trusting God to make us into real followers of Christ.
We invite you to join us on the journey...
Our vision is to continually rediscover how God has loved us in Christ (i.e. the gospel) as we give ourselves to the radical mission of God of renewing individuals, our communities and culture

Our Culture
Like the water in which the proverbial fish swims, every organization has a culture – a matrix of ethos, beliefs, expectations, social practices, language, assumptions, habits, and norms. We hope the most evident characteristic permeating our church culture is that the gospel of grace enables people to unmask and be real with one another in the struggles of life. In keeping with the Reformed tradition’s insistence upon self-criticism and self-awareness, we will self-consciously cultivate a culture characterized by…

Our Strategy As A Missional Church
In response to the gospel, we will act by faith taking risks prioritizing these ministry initiatives:
Priority of Worship – We will prioritize the worship of God by His people, believing that the experience of God’s presence and love in corporate worship is central to our model of spirituality (i.e. our model of the Christian life).
Theology & Leadership Development – We will take seriously the task of training people to think theologically (i.e. according to the Scriptures) and lead in a theologically-driven, principled manner. Theology for us will be a verb.
Nurturing Children in Grace – We will partner with dads and moms nurturing boys and girls in God’s covenant love, teaching them the gospel of grace and helping them to know why they believe what they believe.
Student Ministry: ‘Developing Young Leaders’ – We will personally love on and disciple middle and high school students both inside and outside the church in order to raise up the next generation of young leaders who will love the world with the gospel.
Connect & Disciple Men – We will create environments for men to connect at a deep level, calling men to reject passivity, love courageously and give their lives to something greater than themselves in all the spheres of a man’s calling – family, church and civil spheres.
Connect & Disciple Women – We will create environments for women to connect at a deep level both for outreach and encouragement as we call women to love courageously and give their lives to something greater than themselves in all the spheres of a woman’s calling – family, church and civil spheres.
Community Groups – We will cultivate relationships through small groups enabling deeper friendships, prayer, serving together and outreach.
Bridges of Grace – We will love the world by intentionally creating ‘bridges’ to send leaders and resources from our privileged area of north Atlanta to pockets of need in metro Atlanta and the world.
IMAGINE THIS...
What would our north Atlanta community look like if the invisible Kingdom of Christ was being made visible in every sphere of life?
