Loving The World With The Gospel In Word & Deed

When we see evil and suffering in the world, human beings have a remarkably pernicious ability to ?look the other way.? This is especially when evil or suffering does not directly touch our lives.

Instead of cold-hearted indifference at the pain and suffering of the world, the gospel calls us to compassion. Over and over again in John 13-17 Jesus stresses to his disciples the importance of loving the world. We believe, like the Book of James teaches us, that loving the world must take the form of concrete action. Consequently, Grace North Atlanta teaches, preaches, and seeks to cultivate within all her members a social conscience that takes seriously God?s concern for justice and mercy. In the years ahead we will move forward in mission and loving the world through partnering with other churches and para-church agencies like Rebirth International designed to serve, care and empower the poor.
