Developing Young Leaders for Their Calling in the Workplace
Leaders do not emerge by accident whether in society or in the church. Jesus’ primary mission prior to the cross was to build leaders who would be committed to carrying out his mission to the world. Jesus took advantage of teachable moments along the way to intentionally develop leaders through modeling and mentoring. Grace is committed to developing emerging leaders, equipping and empowering our members for ministry. Because the church is the leadership engine for the kingdom, the telos of virtually all of Grace’s ministries is the raising up and developing of new leaders for Christ’s church. Because Grace is called to minister to so many in the business world, we will seek to apply the gospel to the needs of those in the marketplace as well as encouraging theological reflection on how the Christian faith shapes a Christian’s calling in the business world. The call of the kingdom reminds us that our Christian faith should make a difference not merely on Sunday morning but Monday through Friday as well.
